The aim of the homework grid is to exceed their points target.

We have discussed this in class, and the children understand how to select appropriate activities.

You should be reading each night and completing your Maths worksheet.

Remember to also take part in some activities on the grids posted.

Your child must bring in their Homework Folder each Friday so that we can review any homework done and they can get feedback on work they have completed.

If you have any questions or queries then please do not hesitate to ask.

The books in the Power of reading have been chosen because they are powerful, well written books that will engage children.

They will stir ideas and feelings which will then inspire writing, speaking and listening.

Maths This term we will be looking at counting, number bonds to 20, addition and subtraction, partitioning as well as calculating, measuring, shape and problem solving. Any board game that they play will teach them counting on skills as well as sharing, friendship and turn taking. Numbers are everywhere so try to get your child to recognise them and get them to count on and back from random numbers.

English This year we will be focusing on the Power of reading.
